Separated Parents Information Programme (SPIP)

In some cases, CAFCASS or the Judge will ask you to attend a Separated Parents Information programme (SPIP) during court proceedings. They may also ask you to attend before proceedings begin to help with the process.

The Separated Parents Information Programme aims to help parents come to an agreement quickly by helping parents to manage conflict and communicate with each other in the interests of their children. This course is not designed for people who have experienced domestic abuse; however, it is often ordered by the courts even if domestic abuse has taken place. If it is ordered, you will need to attend. You may wish to make the course facilitator aware of the domestic abuse.
